Energy Log

The Tomahawk Log and Country Homes Energy-Log construction system is designed to offer the appearance of authentic full-log construction, along with the ultimate in energy efficiency. Challenges experienced in full-log construction, such as warping, twisting and settling, are eliminated with the Energy-Log system. The exterior wall consists of a fully insulated, conventionally framed 2"x6" stud wall, 1" structural insulated sheathing (SIS), and one of the beautiful styles of TLCH half-log siding.

Half-log packages are available in Saddle-Lok, Cross-Lok, Verti-Lok and Verti-Log corner systems. All logs used in these systems are hand hewn, dip treated twice and kiln dried. For a more contemporary appearance, Wavy Edge and Bevel Edge Cedar are also available.

Another benefit of the Energy-Log construction system is the flexibility of interior finishes. A variety of options are available to give your home its own distinctive appearance.

Options may include interior log, rustic beam, cedar, knotty pine, wainscot, dry wall or any combination you prefer.

Other standard items include first and second floor sub-floor systems, low-E, argon-filled thermal pane aluminum clad windows and doors, stair/loft railings, knotty pine cathedral ceilings, blueprints and delivery.
